James Gunn brings his cosmic MCU trilogy to a spectacular close with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and it’s one of the most satisfying conclusions we’ve seen to date in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sweeping colors, breakneck action, an excess of emotion, and plenty of laughter, make this heartfelt quest a film that you’re not soon to forget. But beyond the film’s obvious merits, we’re here to review its timeline, both within the Guardians Saga and its overall placement in the wider MCU. Because this video is dropping before the film actually arrives in theaters, we’ll be keeping spoilers to a minimum, and due to the fact that we don’t have a digital copy of the film to work with yet, don’t expect this to be as in-depth as usual. That said, the film does provide us with just enough information to help us place Guardians 3 on our MCU Timeline.

CORRECTION(s): In the post-credits scene, Quill could possibly be talking about the neighbor’s son being 45 years old, instead of himself. The sentence works both ways, depending on where you place the punctuation. The foliage best fits Spring or Fall, not Summer. In future videos I will place Guardians 3 in Spring (thanks to the Kevin Bacon Easter egg).

Great vid as always! Just saw the movie and loved it. I think the age thing is 100% accurate because he definitely subtracts those 5 years from the blip so 2026 works out perfectly!

Can your next timeline video in this month be the DC Universe? If so start with Wonder Woman & then when The Flash comes out this month on June 16th you can add that!!!

Amazing video as always amigo! Just saw GOTG Vol 3 and I can't wait to watch it again. The fact that the MCU is in 2026 is kinda crazy, though I do personally miss it when the franchise used to take place around the same year as the real world if that makes sense 🤣

Been pondering this since I’m also using this as an updated timeline beyond just the guardians video lol since I unfortunately can’t afford patreon rn but that being said I know it gets wonky but with Jen going out and talking to the Kev bot about wanting the x men and then having Professor X in Doctor strange does that potentially move them around? I know she’s like stepping out of the world and also we don’t really have the x men yet but I’ve been thinking about this lol

Have you ever watched the TV series "Spectacular Spider-Man"? The timeline in the show is so well done, I'm just blown away. I advise you to pay attention if you will analyze the timelines after watching "Across Spider-Verse".
