  • My opinion and only my opinion I personally think with your help you have made companies clean up their act on their products and gave customers a better knowledge on what we are buying from them and for that , bless you
  • @TheMbarnett1
Hi Dr. V I was using the Ordinary products for hyperpigmentation and dry skin based on your recommendation. Since you no longer recommend most of the products anymore can you make an updated video for hyperpigmentation. Looking forward to see the new video. Thank you. So glad I found you on YouTube ❤
  • @Georgia092473
Hi Dr. V! Since there are so many products you no longer recommend would love new videos on skincare routines for the different skin types using the new products you recommend. Especially if the products were affordable!
  • Since you mentioned layering, can you do an updated video on a routine? Specifically for dry skin, non acne prone skin would be appreciated 😊
  • @fatimaly4534
I am glad that I found you Dr V! And thank you so much for all the education, your precious time and more importantly the difference you are making in the skin of color community around the world. I can't wait to receive my package from you, it's on the way and am about to place another order from the body range. Please stay with us and longevity to you! The sky is the limit and long lasting success is all about keeping it real
  • Dr V, the Naturium Niacinamide you recommended and pictured has 12% pure Niacinamide not 2%. The 2% was the Zinc. Please clarify. I have reviewed the product info and your script which said 2% Niacinamide not 12%.

Dr. V I no longer buy products until I check your videos first. What are your favorite products in 2023 for treating stubborn hyperpigmentation including the right saturated fat sunscreens? Can you also do a video on treating stubborn hyperpigmentation including the right sunscreens? I'm so grateful for you educating people of color. Thank you for filling the void.
  • Hello Dr. V! Thank you so much for taking time to update your recommendations. You just don't know how many people you've helped and educated with "one scratch, one bite, one burn". You are amazing! I recommend your channel to all my family and friends 💜. Do you plans to make a formula of Inzincable for oily skin? And do you offer sales/specials around the holidays on your skincare kits?
  • @ifeolunu
Naturium’s Niacinamide serum is actually 12% not 2%. There are other brands with 2% Niacinamide in their formulations eg Beauty of Joseon glow deep serum and glow serum which both contain just 2% Niacinamide. Just thought to put that out there
  • @rimpashaw4506
I Usually see Dr.V a lot more than other derma but I have a deep observation. For example for the past 3 years I have been using 10 % Niacinamide . And it has done wonders for me. Also I know many who are getting the most benefit out of it. Why do I feel that Dr. V recommation has reduced to almost 0 of other brands / products and ends up advertising her own brand. I am not saying that anything is wrong with that but there many many products that has done wonders to my skin( ended up having a glass skin) which are not recommended by Dr. V I have highly respect for your knowledge but it's a strong feeling seeing alot of videos now . Same thing happens again and again.
  • @MelyCen
You should review the Geek & Gorgeous products as well as Beauty of joseon (red bean water gel and relief sun rice + probiotics spf 50+) and purito B5 Panthenol Re-barrier Cream
  • @JoujouDodson
I wanted to share my recent experience with your YouTube channel. As a skincare enthusiast, I was excited when a friend suggested your channel, particularly because you focus on products for skin of color. Your content has left a strong impression on me, and as a result, I have purchased your products and book today. I can't wait to try them out and read your book. Thank you for your honest reviews and for staying away from sponsorships. Keep up the great work! Congratulations on your success, which is well-earned.
  • @lavayuki
This is super interesting how opinions change over the years. When it comes to niacinamide, korean skincare is where its at imo. I only use Korean skincare these days and find it so much better than western products.
  • I am soooo happy I came across you. Your advice has been life changing, and your products are staples. My skin has transformed, and it is down to you and my esthetician. I will forever sing your praise, Dr. V❤❤❤❤❤
  • Thank you for this updated video 💗🙏🏽 I've learned so much from you and have changed my skincare products because of what you taught me. I look at skincare products totally different now and with a keen eye. When I see social media influencers who are P.O.C.s promoting/selling skincare that isn't even good for their skin or their audience's skin, I give them a Bombastic Side-Eye because they literally have no idea what the hell they're selling. Also, many POC influencers have natural beautiful skin, in addition to many of them being in their early 20s. So they sell skincare products to their audience claiming that the products are "the best", when in fact that influencer has beautiful skin due to their GENETICS and their age - not because of some skincare products that aren't even good for their skin! It's crazy out there in skincare land. Thanks for everything you do! 💖 God bless ✨🥰
  • @TlangiBaloyi
Congratulations on a 100 million views Dr V! You deserve that 👏🏾🥂! I’m glad so many of us have been enlightened regarding our skin and how best to care for it 🤍🌸.
  • I think the ordinary was a good introduction to skincare and are affordable, I've bought their salicylic acid and peptide serum. Luckily, they've now launched new cleansers and moisturisers, the gel moisturiser looks promising.
  • Hi Dr. V, after discovering your channel, it became a habit to check the ingredients list of the products I intentionally want to buy at first then the moment I see 'Fragrance or Parfum' in them I just let them go. And it's true, the products which are really good are pricey. Like Naturium is really good but pricey.
  • Minimalist, Plum and derma co. have good 5% niacinamide serums Deconstruct has a 2% alpha arbutin plus 5% niacinamide Minimalist 2% salicylic acid serum is non-drying bcz it has added humectants and antioxidants Suganda has a 2% alpha arbutin 3% tranexamic acid with 5% niacinamide and 2% acetyl glucosamine The formula rx has a good 0.1% retinol with bakuchiol and 5% niacinamide
