National Day message: PM Lawrence Wong says govt to redouble efforts to keep cost of living stable

"Shining red dot" is the most accurate term for Singapore. As an Indonesian, I envy Singapore leadership. Its a small country, yet stable and true to its priority, which is its own people's welfare. I hope Indonesian government take example from this country. It does not need to look far.

Can’t blame inflation all to external factors. Why the increase of gst, property tax, carbon tax, cpf contribution, water & electricity price all during this inflationary period? All these increases business cost which translate to higher price for consumers

PM Wong, Sir! Thank you for your hard work! ❤❤❤ Please realign PAPs' values. People over profits & not the other way around. Don't sell Income. No more gerrymandering & fixing the oppo. Food prices and QUALITY are equally important. Never mess with Singaporean's Hawker culture with burdensome high rents & oppressive contracts. Consider switching HDB 99 yr lease to freehold considering the impact of the 4th industrial revolution that will impact our young people's job prospects profoundly to help lessen their burden so that many may inherit some wealth. Remove GRC so that we will get high quality MPs who has to fight for their seat by their own merit. You may pair minority race MPs for certain constituencies to ensure minority representations. This new world requires you to step up with bold policies. Don't just stick to the old playbook from your predecessors as they have lost their effectiveness. Your courage to take drastic measures is required. Let's also move towards a first world parliament & acknowledge the contributions of the opposition party members who had to face insurmountable challenges to bring important concerns across. Hi PM, thank you for your commitment to keep cost of living low. But my mother has a terminal blood cancer, and CPF/MOH is not allowing her to fully use her Medisave for her medical expenses, despite her being 76 and published data from NUH Cancer Centre stating average survival rate for patients over 65 with myeloma is 3 years. I tried to write to you but did not receive any reply...I hope you can look into this matter, and give every Singaporean the assurance that Medisave is something we can count on in our old age for medical expenses. Thank you so much. 🙏
