In February 2023, a quiet community in Ohio was blindsided by disaster when a train derailed and authorities decided to unleash a plume of toxic smoke over the town in an attempt to avoid an explosion. Days later, the residents and the media thought the story was over, but in fact it was just beginning. What unfolded in East Palestine is a cautionary tale for every town and city in America. • Not one person ever came to my house and told me to leave. This happened in front of my house.

Mike Dewine should be in jail for this. We live 1.5 hrs from East Palestine. Our friends had to move from this city because they were getting sick, with headaaches and rashes. Its unfortunate how the people in East Palestine have been pushed aside.😱

So who will take the blame when it’s proven they been lying đŸ€„ after a few years.
  • @Boognatao2
Scares me huge train cargo from tanks to toxic crap 😼
  • as an Ohioan and nature lover I was extremely outraged by the company what were they thinking cutting corners
  • @John_Doe3
It's crazy that the polluter is allowed to hire the contractor to monitor levels of pollution. How cam the EPA do it's job when they don't really know everything going on since the polluter and their contractors are almost always lying.

WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MANY TAX PAYERS GOT TOXIC FROM THIS TRAIN WRECK. AHHH THE HUMANITY.
  • @bobby-ov9qn
Shameful what the people of East Palestine have been through, and shameful of the response from this Administration and the aftermath.

I live all the way East in New Hampshire, just about as far East in the US you can go from this disaster besides the state of Maine, and also just happen to be located right underneath where the weather patterns from Ohio come from. For the whole week during this disaster, the rain left a white film on all our vehicles and dark surfaces outside. ALL parking lots that had rain puddles had a rainbow color liquid floating around in the puddles, and I don't believe it was fuel or oil products. The fact that we in NH, five states and a 10 hour drive away from Ohio, were [likely] seeing the environmental ramifications from this disaster, means Ohio and surrounding Pennsylvania must be absolutely affected in the long term. I pray for you all.

17:46 WAIT. So safety is ONLY acceptable when it doesn’t impact profits. LOL EXCEPT if you got those profits indirectly by skirting safety that doesn’t count buddy. What a scummy company. Rail is disgusting. They have a terrible track record trying to compete with air and sea. They could have prevented these crashes by installing upgraded systems but refuse to because of costs. Look it up.

I hope as a follow up there will be an interview with Pete Buttigieg . He has responsibility here.
  • @elakay4397
But isnt this the way they do things? Something horrific like this happens,.... then weeks later..you hear the aftermath thats not good. Always!!....Pray for these people and all of us.. This was a test folks.

What that guy from Norfolk said should be used in court because to me, that sounded like admitting to not adhering to safety regulations because it’s not “supportive of a healthy business environment” aka, doesn’t make them enough profits 🙄
  • Mayor Trent Conaway’s leadership during East Palestine’s time of need was inadequate. I recommend that the citizens of East Palestine consider voting for a candidate who will prioritize their best interests.

Chemicals can be absorbed into homes (IAQ/absorbable material) differently than outdoors (wind and nonporous material being one difference) and the fact the EPA "expert" doesn't understand is disturbing. The water supply and the EPA respnse is also concerning.
  • @MNcreampied
Sounds like child endangerment staying in that town.
  • @PickledPixiePie
They checked the soil, but did they check the water? Did they power wash the buildings to catch the particulate raining down on them during the burn-off?
  • If you stop using plastic is about only way to stop this.. I noticed tons of plastic products through whole show family's own! That buying power fuels the entire issue!
