Kits vs Glo - A Kitsumii Fox Duel Animation (by NotSoProish Animations)

This duel takes the cake for all sorts of reasons. - Creative setup/reason for fighting. -Great usage of perspective and visual effects. -Beautiful hand-drawn explosions/dust clouds. -Creative choreography, problem solving (genius use of the dust cloud to carry the flashbang as well as the bag fakeout), and visual storytelling (using a heartbeat for the bullet trail and an actual look at the beating heart/having in-world books representing chapter titles). -Great hand-drawn expressions that convey emotion beautifully. -Coloring that's easy on the eyes. -Usage of comic-style speech bubbles that make following conversation easy. -Makes a competent sniper feel like an actual threat, forcing Fox to pull out all sorts of tricks just to survive and advance even a little bit. Having him sustain various wounds from simply daring to stay still behind cover (which you can't always trust will block bullets!) and even taking hits when things go to plan helps sell the threat of a barrel trained right at you. Unlike many other duels where every bullet is easily deflected, dodged, or just misses. Here, it really feels like a single mistake means death. -Generally making it feel like a real test of mental fortitude and a fight for one's life against certain death. -Having the environment play such a big role in the fight, even having another simultaneous duel affect this one, which I'm surprised hasn't been done yet. -Overall creative fight structure, turning it into a more asymmetrical puzzle-type battle (Like The End from Metal Gear Solid or a stand battle from JJBA), which is a breath of fresh air in a community that, while filled with many talented and hardworking animators, tends to focus mainly on head-on breakneck action that can get samey after a while. More people could take pointers from how you go about a battle between two characters with unique, entirely different abilities. -You weren't afraid to have your duelist get beaten even after a great showcase of abilities and intelligence. Easy 10/10. More people should do stuff like this.

Easily the most unique idea for a duel. I also like the comic aesthetic added with the speech bubbles.

It is rare that I see a duelist and immediately want to see more of them for personality alone But Glo is fucking rad. Like this is the ideal cruel character, being an absolute menace not for malice but simply because of their own moderate amusement. Kits was the PERFECT character to go against Glo here especially from a thematic standpoint with the fox vs hunter dynamic

4:21 you can actually see Glo moving gun just slightly up to shoot the wall.

In my humble opinion, this is probably one of the best and most unique duels I've watched.
