My experience doing the 4x4x48 David Goggins challenge!!

Published 2021-03-13
Doing the 4x4x48 challenge was not only physically difficult, it was mentally exhausting! Sometimes though you have to get out of your comfort zone and test your mind and body on where your limits are!

Thanks for watching my videos! I really appreciate it!! Much love!

Well done! I'm 51 and did this challenge as well. My sentiments are similar to yours. The sleep and calorie management was tricky (17,000 calories burned over Fri. Sat and Sun). Having enough dry clothes was also something I didn't expect to have to calculate as much as I did. Although putting on a soaking wet shirt does wake you up during the midnight and 4:00 am runs! Recovery is something I will work on the next time I do this. Awesome job getting it done!

Welldone mate! Speaking as a 50 yr old I did it this year too. One hell of a challenge to deal with. Goggins pulls you thru every run, proper inspiring stuff and what a sense of achievement when you pull it off!! 🤟
  • Awesome effort and I can’t wait to do this next April. I am going to try and rope my best mate into it so to help push him. Thanks for the share and showing us the experience!

I just did my first one a few days ago. I agree totally. Not physically hard for me but the sleep management. I also was worried about the alarm thing. Worked for me though I usually always wake up before my alarm naturally anyway. It was definitely fun though! I love a challenge and it was. I want to do more.

Phenomenal, I feel like Goggins had done some of these " challenges " under different circumstances and they just stuck as something he learned from and passed down to show others what they are capable of as well, well done
  • Awesome work! What would you try to do differently next time to help things go smoother, if anything?
