Producers : "let's start filming now" Cameron : no my idea is too grand for our current level of technology

I don't understand how this movie still looks so good. Even in 2020 I can't think of any CGI that looks better off the top of my head. The colors are incredible. and you are right, it makes up for any stock characters or derivative story components. James Cameron literally makes new technology almost every time he makes a movie. He is a beast and is truly in his own league.

James Cameron is not known for complicated and unique stories, rather he’s known for the insane amount of detail he puts into them. Honestly it’s why I love this movie. I’m still finding new details that I didn’t notice, and that’s not just from a visual front

I honestly don't care about what others have to say about this movie. It holds a special place in my heart and is one of the movies that my father and I bonded over when I was a kid. I'm so pumped for the sequel!
  • I was 9 years old when Avatar came out. As you can probably guess it was absolutely magical for me. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched it

I remember when this was released, some German news reported a wave of depression among viewers. Because the Avatar world was so beautiful, knowing they have to go back out to the lackluster real world made them depressed. Some older ladies who were coming out were saying that they saw heaven.

This movie was a visual masterpiece. I remember reading how people leaving the theaters in complete amazement. Some moviegoers were depressed returning to the real world. The colors were amazing. Watching this movie in "true IMAX" theaters was an awe inspiring experience. Thanks for this video.

As much as people love to hate on this movie, it still holds a special place in my heart. It was my very first 3D movie back in 2009 when I had just turned 10. And despite people saying "Oh who cares about the sequel(s)" I'm looking forward to them!
  • @crazyeyez1502
Regardless of the story or acting, it is definitely one of the most beautifully done movies. A movie Blu-ray and 3d tvs where made for. Can only imagine how it'd look in 4k or 8k...

It's the greatest cinematic experience that I have ever had and I've been going to the cinema for 50 years.
  • @marcoe.3314
Would you ever consider talking about the Martian’s from war of the worlds 2005
  • @bazanime
It's unfortunate how close minded and hateful people are. It's good this movie did very well and I look forward to it sequel.

AVATAR STILL RULES!! I love how much people are talking about it again after the release of Avatar: The Way of Water. So glad our community has fully come alive again and sharing the love for one of the greatest movies to ever grace our eyes. It's been a long 13 years, but the sequels are here to take over the world again!
  • So refreshing to see someone else who loves this movie, it gets so much hate but I love the hell out of it.
  • Since Avatar 2 focus on Underwater of Pandora, I could Just imagine Subnautica, idk why, I just feel those kinds of creatures will be there
  • @Mububban23
Avatar is still the only 3D movie I'd pay to see in 3D again.
  • @Kalashee
Idgaf what anyone says; going to see this movie in theatres truly was just an experience unlike any other, and i kinda hope they re-re-RE-release it again in theatres a little bit before the sequel comes out just because that would be amazing (and might even have it de-throne Endgame, which i feel was nowhere close to deserving the top spot. Tho im sure avatar 2 will do that anyway. At least i sure as hell HOPE it's good enough to)
  • @aquasauce362
As much as a sequels could be cool I hope they don’t rattle them off like Disney did with Star Wars
  • @Dragunov38
Avatar remains the only film in my books that I payed and watch 6 different time at the box office for it. 4 of them at IMAX/3D cost. It remains the most immersive and emotion evocating movie that I have watch in my life. Totally worth it every dollar in my entertaining budget.
