My heart breaks for Dave Grohl. To lose your best friend is horrific. For it to happen again is unimaginable. Sad doesn't even begin to convey today's news. But you know what helps? That every single comment, news story and other coverage I have seen emphasises the goodness. The joy. The purity of spirit that Taylor embodied.

The fact that Taylor had his first night alone with his baby and called Dave for company shows how tight and real these guys were. Character alone is a huge reason why they're so likeable.

How can this horrible shit happen to such a lovely man again? I'm so sad about Taylor, heartbroken in fact, but poor Dave, it must be completely unbearable. If that is the end of the band, it's completely understandable because fucking hell, what a blow. Much love to Dave at anytime, but 1000x extra right now.

Unimaginable. To lose your best friend, having to refind the joy in music, finally getting back up and loving life again. And then 28 years later having to go through this for the second time. My heart goes out to Taylor’s family, but also very much to Dave. So sorry that you’re having to go through this again.

I lost a very close person to suicide, I was 23 and the person was 21, and you just can't prepare for such earth shattering loss and all the guilt and grief they comes with it.
