St. Ignatius is one of the people who met Jesus as a child. As an adult, he embraced Jesus as the Christ and joined the Apostles in spreading the Faith outside of Palestine. At the age of 84, he found himself as bishop of Antioch facing execution by Emperor Trajan for being a Christian and refusing to sacrifice to the pagan gods and to the emperor as god.

I was raised in a protestant baptist church. Our pastor always read the words of the Lord instituting the last supper “this is my blood/body, take and eat…” and then followed it up by “this is only a symbol of our faith and not actually his blood and body” which always bothered me even as a child and teenager. The notion they had just read Scripture verbatim and it followed up by a negation of the Lord’s very words never sat well with me. After 2 decades of atheism, I have learned of how St. Ignatius combated this very heresy so early on in the Church’s history. This is one of the many reasons that I have found the Orthodox Church as the only One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and become a catechumen. Lord have mercy on us and save us, Amen!

I can sincerely say, you guys brought me closer to the true apostolic church with your videos. I am in the process of converting from protestant to orthodox. Thank you.

  • Thank you very much for this beautiful video Fr. Panayiotis and everyone at Trisagion team!! Such a well made and complete video about this wonderful Saint, I knew a little bit the story but your video added a lot of depth, the story and the boldness and how much the Saint loves Our Lord brings tears to my eyes, God bless you Fr. Panayiotis and everyone at Trisagion team. In deed, Our Lord Jesus Christ is Risen!

This channel brings much knowledge and peace. May Christ bless you always.
  • Absolutely edifying, electrifying, real. Christianity stripped down to its purity, loyalty to our very real and mystical Triune God who came to offer us His divine flesh to eat and divine blood to drink, that we be one in Him. Bless you for this much needed film.

Beautiful video. Like St. Paul’s infamous saying, “To live is Christ, to die is gain”, Saint Ignatius had no fear facing persecution.

St. Ignatius my most beloved saint. The one who led me back to the Holy Church. A bright star in hard times, a true supporter for my soul and body. Thank you for everything.
  • This was so beautiful and humbling, especially when going through our own trials to realize what our Saints and Martyrs went through for our Faith. God Bless you this Lenten Season, praise God!☦️🙏🏻

As a protestant I absolutely appreciate these videos. It's one thing to read about the saint but another to have the ability to listen while working or doing other things. It's why I myself have attempted to make some videos and will hopefully improve over time. May God bless you guys 🙏🏾

The world needs more of these stories in this format. In this world of propaganda, whoever has the best story will rule. The best story is the story that resonates with the largest amount of people. And what resonates with all people is the lights, the truth, the Logos incarnate.
