Geddy wanted to simplify his keyboards by 1985 on stage. It ended up getting even more out of control by this tour. Eventually he wanted to play what he loved most - the bass. This era gets a lot of hate but I still love all of those songs from this era. Just a totally different sound and feel to any other of Rush. It also takes me back to a long time ago when I was a lot younger.

Rush never had a period of "bad" music. All their periods has great, excellent music. They just had different flavors, that's all.
  • Live version of this song really kicks it up to a high level of complete greatness.

I don't wanna face the killer instinct, face it in New Orleans, so we keep it under lock and key.
  • 2-11-2021 I am stopping bye here in the middle of practicing my drums playing thru some playlists and lo and behold I had to stop and comment... cant everybody see how incredibly difficult this is written. geddy's keyboard "guitar riffs" and alex's guitar "keyboard phrasing" then going back and forth being covered by guitar then the bass and key pedals...onto the ripping lead guitar then back to keys and etc... ...so so difficult to pull off , and to write in such a way shows just how talented and challenging they were to each other to go out on the road and try to perform this hundreds of times. the pedal work they each perform gets so frequently overlooked with rush but here you have bass pedals while playing keyboard and key pedals while playing bass.. alex has the guitar rhythm pedals with keyboard midi then switches to lead with whammy while hitting pedal keys.. .. friggin a maze of intertwined start to finish performance based writing of instrumentation mastery.... my goodness they still don't get the credit they have so richly earned... no reward for resistance... no assistance.. no applause.. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏RIPNEP

They were one of the most perfect rock groups having no ego and getting along for 40 years. WOW. I love Rush and always will. I can remember having some problems in my life back in the 80's and listening to them on my couch in earphones. They didn't fix my problems, but they sure did make it better! In my earphones and with my eyes closed I was always trying to figure out who was making what sound. Three people making so much music it was just unreal. RIP Neil.

Alex and Geddy singing the bridge and chorus is just so amazing! There’s no other band like them and even in the synthed out 80s, Rush couldn’t be beat.
  • @PaBasser
    Loved Neil's bass drum's artwork

Nice deep cut from HYF. Time Stand Still, Force 10, and 8 awesome deep cuts. LOL

Why didn't they include this and more stuff on "Replay"? I want the complete version of that show.
  • Minha maior felicidade é quando estou escutando essa maravilha de som, obrigado Rush, sem igual, nada se compara, simplesmente foda....
