My thoughts/head-space:
I LOVE THIS SONG!!! This solo section allows me to be extremely dynamic in my approach. I love the harmonic colours and weaving horn and guitar lines as well. I was inspired to present a tom “melody” that complimented the horn line without breaking the flow of notes being played on the ride and snare, and as the solo went on, I started to incorporate the snare and ride in my overall phrasing. One of my favourite things to do in this solo section is to build intensity towards a chord or musical moment, and then disappear in a wash of cymbals.

Larnell you are seriously one of the most Complete drummers i have ever had the privilege of meeting. You have left a lasting impression on me. Each person has their own voice behind the kit, however you represent the standard of the total package.
