old people giving advice on youtube and social media is what this world needs edit: i didn't expect this comment to blow up so before anyone else comments that calling someone "old" is disrespectful; i really don't believe growing old should be seen as something negative or that there is more worth inyoung people. if you don't agree with that, that's okay. now gonna take this lady's advice, and let y'all comment what you want <3

for whoever needs to hear this: my mom always told me “you were fine before them, you’ll be fine after them” edit: it was my grandmother who told my mom those words when she would struggle w breakups, then my mom would tell me🖤

We have no control over other people’s decisions. We hurt ourselves by trying to control. LET THEM do as they please !!

My mum always told me “they’ll need you before you need them.” It’s true! Everyone that’s turned their back on me or thought they found new, more fun friends to spend time with and left me by the road side, they’ve always come running back to me in a crisis. Their true and dependable friend. Now I’ve learned to keep the door closed to the fair-weather friends. Mum was right. She usually is.
