    I am a dancer and I have had my aerial for about 4-5 years now. I also got my front aerial about 1 1/2 years ago. Just a tip that helped me: as you are first starting to learn an aerial, you can use your hands to swing you around. Of course once you get it it will become easier and soon you won’t have to use your arms. But as you start, your arms can really push you around! This also helps with your front aerial!

  • Thank you so much Anna! On summer vacation I really wanted to learn the Ariel because I thought it looked so pretty, I started learning it but got discouraged because I could never seem to do it. I started following your tips and looked at your body (not in a weird way) during the Ariel and figured out I wasn’t putting my upper body low enough so my legs couldn’t get over me quick enough. Now I can do it on hard floor and grass and I’m working on combos with the Ariel and trying to do a standing Ariel!
