THINKING about your training is important. But it does not replace FEELING your training. PLANNING is crucial. But it does not replace PUSHING your training. You cannot outthink a lack of effort and many decisions that you make in the gym will not be based on hard, quantifiable data but rather on instinct and feeling. At heart, I'm a lifting nerd. But you have to learn when to nerd out about lifting, and when to shut that shit off and just crush some iron. There's a balance to be struck here, and I feel like a lot of people are stuck not because of a lack of information, but because they are drowning in it. Hope you like the video! Info that is actually useful and practical, what REALLY matters: Book 1: SWEAT (beginners/intermediates) www.verityfit.com/product-page/sweat Book 2: Ring Training For Hypertrophy (ring enthusiasts) www.verityfit.com/product-page/ring-training-for-h… Book 3: Resurrecting Your Gains (intermediates/advanced lifters) www.verityfit.com/product-page/resurrecting-your-g… Can check the site for full Tables Of Contents of each book. Hey GVS, just wanted to stop by and give my story real quick about gratitude and humility. I’ve lost my ability to go to the gym the last 5 months due to addiction, mental health struggles and being in institutions, the best wisdom I can give is appreciation, I had no idea how much of a blessing it is to be able to go to the gym at all until it was taken away. I never would’ve imagine I’d lose everything so quickly even if you told me a year ago that it’d happen, this was and still is my life, for awhile it’s all I had. I’m finally getting back on my feet now and I can’t wait to rebuild my physique and just go to the gym daily, i broke my collar bone from a seizure on may 4th and that’s the last thing that needs addressing before I can get fully back into it, I want to say thanks GVS for being a part of what’s keeping my passion burning throughout these months even though I haven’t been able to practice much of it, I aspire to start my own channel back up in 6 months or so to do the same for others, you’re really helping people man, you, Alex and Paris have been helping me through this, thanks for everything❤💪
  • You have the best natural arms on YouTube. Not blowing smoke here. Been following you for years, the guns are truly impressive. Legs also looking real good. Good job.

Lmao the "small Guy" in your thumbnail is still huge 😂

"Show me the studies!" Pencil necks vs "It just feels right" weight heavers

This is the best you've ever looked, not just in terms of physique but your face. You look healthy. Keep this state.
  • I needed this video, I’m a huge overthinker. I’m also very impressionable one guy says something I’ll do that then switch it when someone says something else.

Been overthinking a lot recently, needed this rn plain and simple - thanks Geoff!

I watched a random Athlean-X video yesterday and thought this exact thing. He gave me 7 tips to grow my biceps, but all together they would contribute to like +5% results provided you are training consistently with appropriate intensity 😅
  • The teased wisdom video is here! Good stuff, brother. Looking forward to the upcoming Ronnie vid

The biggest thing people overlook with training that affects all lifters of different spectrums is autoregulation. Whether you're bodybuilder, powerlifter, or strongman, autoregulation will always be a key factor in how and where you take your training.
  • @TheBroSplit
Thanks for all of your content. It has been instrumental in earning my gainz. Being a little tired and still going to the gym moving around warming up seeing what is recovered and working it has been transformational

I'm glad you brought up "enjoyment" as a factor. You're right. If you don't like your program, you're not going to stick to it. Also, experiential learning is king. I was working on improving on my upper pecs, and what I discovered is that training them twice a week with two different grips (regular and close grip) helped them grow. In six months, I noticed a noteworthy increase while in a cut. This is info I didn't obtain from a YT video.
