GPS for truckers doesn't work in the East. Too many low bridges and tight clearances. I find that, if you talk to a shipping manager at the business you're picking up/delivering to, they'll know the best access for truckers. A 5 minute phone call can save your day.

Going through downtown Portland: when you were in top of the highway bridge, you had the Willamette River on your left. The Antifa scum protests in the downtown area to the left of the river. And the traffic you are in, is actually pretty normal for the time of day you are there. Accidents on I84 are not uncommon. Rush hour Is terrible. I use side streets and avoid highways through Portland - live in a suburb. Portland is beautiful. Some people here are just plain nasty with their hatred and violence, yet most Oregonians are friendly and helpful. Love living in Oregon, but cannot stand the city of Portland.
