I think it's in the DNA of Filipinos to be hospitable. I can safely say that because I'm married to a wonderful Filipina I met at the graduate school at UBC, Canada. Our marriage is still going strong by the day!

Oh how I miss Thalia. I remembered that almost everyone was gaga about her telenovela Marimar. That is why when she came to the Philippines, she sang Nandito Ako for the Filipinos. 😊
  • @Stormvue
Singers don’t come to perform in the Philippines. They come to listen to their songs being sang back to them by their Filipino fans
  • Heard and found Filipinos singing so professionally in so many stages, big or small, local or global, on a cruise ship, in a bar or simply on the streets, and in so many languages not their own? Still wondering how and why so? Simple answer: Both of these---their cultural upbringing and of course, in their DNA. Even when they are still being formed in the womb, their mothers, grandmas, aunties and nannies would sing them. From lullabies to lilting sounds, to fun tunes and music.
