the first droid battle pack in over a decade and its a GWP
  • @lock8030
I would love this set if it weren’t a GWP. I legit would have paid the $30 for this set as it’s an incredible droid army builder.
  • @Star_Maks
I love this so much - such a fun and nostalgic set, I really wish it was a regular release not a GWP locked behind $160 paywall.

At this point it feels like Lego is just spitting in our faces with this one being a gift with purchase set. It's literally one of the sets we've been asking for for years
  • @WrathAmon1
Its so depressing that a droid battle pack we waited since 2008 is a gwp. Lego official stores are also only in 14 countries out of 195.
  • @HidesFromSun
Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if this was originally a normal set and they changed it to a GWP at the last moment
  • @cbash07
The GWP should have been Shmi's dining room with her as a minifigure from Episode 1, something to echo Aunt Beru's kitchen and giving us a minifig we probably wouldn't get otherwise
  • @skinnyj123
They made the barc speeder that no one wants or asked for $30 and they made the highly desired droid battlepack virtually unobtainable. Good job lego 👍
  • @jaketeske6665
This set isn’t consistent with past Star Wars GWPs, but it is totally consistent with other remake GWPs like the Blacktron set, the Forestmen set or Majisto’s workshop.

It’s so interesting how old the B1 is. This pilot is especially sporting that 1998 copyright proudly. Here hoping for a b1 exclusive figure one day for an anniversary figure maybe one of R2 droid or a training Kamino one.

Thank you for being the best and most well-spoken in the Star Wars Community
  • This would’ve been a great set for Lego to put out as a standalone “Battle Droid Battlepack,” especially after we’ve had a few Clone Battlepacks lately since 2020. Too bad it’s a $160 GwP.
  • im so disappointed that this is gwp, this is something I and many other people would buy dozens of. this was an opportunity for Lego to essentially just print money with a set, and instead they have done this..
  • @Cherryninja23
Wow so nice of them to produce a 10+ set behind a $160 paywall. I’m sure there are tons of kids with $160 just laying around. Sad day for lego
  • @lbricks7631
Congrats on getting the review out so early, but this seems like an odd choice for a GWP to me, I would have thought a small vignette would have been more fitting considering how they've been leaning into producing those sorts of sets more recently
  • @Orangienblue
3:35 I actually have never noticed the 1998 Lego Group copyright date on battle droids!
