Really hard one to pick with Aaron Wolf as an unseeded judoka.

"there is no clear favourite" because Kanikovskiy will not compete - good to mention! (seems I have also misspelled his name which ends in "skiy)

Wolf, back to back olympic champion! Glad to hear that he's on great form

-100 is probably the most open category. Lots of talent also. Im picking Wolf here, but Its not a easy choice. He looks like a judoka Who is best when it matters the most. And he has looked amazing recently so his form seems to be better and better.

WOW ! Every judoka at -100Kg will have a strong motivation for winning. Everyone is versatile and " hungry" to win the fights. Excelente point you have regarding the final! Personally ... I hope for Wolf to be in the final but it will be not easy for him. Cheers ...

Definitely will be an intriguing weight class to watch.

I wish that the system would change in the Judo particular in Olympics. What prevents everyone from facing each other? The most points go to the final and the rest compete to reach the final
  • @yabelson
What about Peter Paltchik? He won agains Fonseca in the masters ans showed very good Judo since the last Olympics where the Israel team to Bronze.

i think kanikovsiky would win OG if he had got permission

Wolf has lost to Sulamanidze as well. I wonder how Wolf is going to look, he's been pretty good this year unlike last few years, but I don't see him going all the way through. I think Turoboyev might go through Kotsoev as well.

Anyone who really understands judo can see that Kanikovsky is the greatest talent and the best judoka in the world right now. The entire judo community should be ashamed that he is not in the Olympics. The best thing for him is to switch to MMA, earn a lot of money, secure his future and an easy life.

I find it a disappointing but, in the end, a fair decision to ban russian athletes. They do undoubtedly have some of the best judo at the moment!
