Gary's guitar on this song is pure EPIC rock. He left this world too soon.
-
& when the microphone slipped down , Kevin’s voice couldn’t be heard . Purely live , no lip syncing , no backing tracks . In front of about 100,000 people & literally millions watching all over the world. 5 legit guys from the Midwest , Rocking n Rolling .

Bandanas, short shorts, wings, no internet no cell phones ... I'm glad I got to live before the big change
-
I'm a native Philadelphia, and I attended that full day event. All I can say that is it's worth being old to have been young then.
-
Underrated and extraordinary song..
-
The Beach Boys and their families, their kids got into the act. That was special. Perfect song for that moment.

The energy of this song in this concert its just AMAZING
-
Funny how REO basically ruled the eighties and nobody could really ever match the magic of Gary on guitar live! I’m mean, come on, this is fantastic! Who do we have today that rocks like this? Oh, I know REO fucking SpeedWagon! God Bless you boys!

Hard to believe this was nearly forty years ago. I feel like I could just listen from the crowd, and then walk out with my friends and look for a bar to have some more fun without looking at my $ cell phone or checking my emails just once. Yeah, it would be no problem to readjust to this time without any reservations
-
That was one of those epic songs which got us in the mood heading out for a Saturday night.
-
I was fortunate enough to have seen REO several times while they were in their prime live just wish I could remember more of it.
-
Gary Richrath was a very underrated guitar player
-
All the sounds of my youth Getting old, but the song never gets old. Thanks for the memories, guys, God bless.
-
Awesome time to be young then. None of this bs we have going on now. Arena rock. Nothing like it!
-
I’m 40 years old and have only now grown to absolutely love this song.
-
Live Aid 85 needs to be turned into a movie......
-
REO Speedwagon is one of the greatest bands of the 70's and 80's period!!!

Rip Gary, it took your death for some to realise how good of a guitar player you were
