Gary's guitar on this song is pure EPIC rock. He left this world too soon.
  • & when the microphone slipped down , Kevin’s voice couldn’t be heard . Purely live , no lip syncing , no backing tracks . In front of about 100,000 people & literally millions watching all over the world. 5 legit guys from the Midwest , Rocking n Rolling .

Bandanas, short shorts, wings, no internet no cell phones ... I'm glad I got to live before the big change
  • I'm a native Philadelphia, and I attended that full day event. All I can say that is it's worth being old to have been young then.
  • The Beach Boys and their families, their kids got into the act. That was special. Perfect song for that moment.

Funny how REO basically ruled the eighties and nobody could really ever match the magic of Gary on guitar live! I’m mean, come on, this is fantastic! Who do we have today that rocks like this? Oh, I know REO fucking SpeedWagon! God Bless you boys!
  • Hard to believe this was nearly forty years ago. I feel like I could just listen from the crowd, and then walk out with my friends and look for a bar to have some more fun without looking at my $ cell phone or checking my emails just once. Yeah, it would be no problem to readjust to this time without any reservations

REO Speedwagon is one of the greatest bands of the 70's and 80's period!!!
  • Rip Gary, it took your death for some to realise how good of a guitar player you were
