No pyrotechnics, no big screen behind them, no laser light show. Just four absolutely mind blowing musicians giving an amazing, all time performance.

year 2024 and I still claim: THIS IS THE BEST PERFORMANCE EVER !
  • @MichelKulmann
Here, kids, this is music and that is a real singer.
  • This was the greatest live performance of all time. Everything here are off the charts. Roger Taylor's drumming was second to none. John Deacon was stellar playing the bass guitar. Brian May was awesome in the lead guitar. Freddie Mercury's powerful voice was out of this world. Queen is not all about Freddie Mercury, he's sorrounded by highly talented musicians as well.

I remember watching this on TV, I was 17 years old. Now I'm 56, where does the time go. They were great!!

Widely regarded as the best 20 minutes of live rock ever, Queen stole the show with this set. No one expected them to own Live Aid…but they came out of left field and surprised everyone. When you consider the fact that this was not a Queen show but a festival, never has an audience been so engaged. Magnificent!

As a musician, i am still amazed at the quality of the sound Queen manage to play on this live set! The beat is tight and steady, the guitars and bass are sharp and Mercury's voice is powerful and clear! Little detail : All this happens during a multi-band live show so kudos to the techs and support crew that were the unsung heroes of Live Aid .

When the audience is singing louder then the band that's a rarity in music. Knowing that Freddy Mercury's health wasn't the best also and he sounded this amazing just solidifies why they were called Queen. This is one of the best live performances of all time for anyone. Period.
  • I remember watching this performance as a 12 year old girl. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. I’d never seen anything like it and haven’t to this day. The greatest performance of all time hands down.

Everyones holding up their arms, but no one is holding a phone in their hand, everyone is just being there in the moment and the only thing recorded of this legendary concert is in their memory.

The transition from Bohemian Rhapsody to Radio Gaga will forever be my favorite concert moment

No playback. no Auto-tune, not 22 different writers and producers on each song. Talent was required in the old days.

If you don’t like what is arguably the best ever 21 minutes and 17 seconds of live performance ever seen, then music isn’t for you.
