What did you think of John Wick: Chapter 4 for those that watched it? Spoilers
  • I said it before, and I'll say it again give Chad an award for always taking the physical demos
  • @aldokurti3272
I was honestly surprised how well this fight scene was graded I always thought this specific scene was too gruesome to actually be realistic but that just goes to show you how real martial arts are.

I love the fact that in the John Wick movies. While people might think John is some “perfect” fighter who is infallible, you can clearly see where he misses throws with the knives and messes up in hand to hand. But it’s his knowledge and technique that save him. Makes it feel way more real.
  • I love the dynamic between all 3 of you. You play off each other really well, and it makes the videos really entertaining, cuz it's like watching a group of buddies horsing around. And the content is very unique and exciting.
  • @BrandonL337
I really like how John Wick's early throws bounce off before he gets the hang of it. It tells a story that John either hasn't practiced knife throwing in a while, as he clearly prefers guns, or has little to no experience with knife throwing, but picks it up quick. You see something similar in the nunchuck scene in 4 where at the start of the fight John is basically using it like a club, smacking people with it, often two-handed, but clearly acclimates to fighting with it as the scene continues. until he's deftly using it in tandem with a pistol.

Honestly this is the best fight scene out of all 4 movies (at least the one without guns). It's fast, chaotic, brutal, relentless, and yet pretty believable. The fact that no one realized that all glasses in these scenes are CGI another plus to me
  • A- seems like a really fair grade. I'm no expert at Kali or Judo, but I've been training in kickboxing and BJJ for years, and the choreography in the John Wick movies has always been very authentic to those disciplines. Of course, they are movies, so they get some leeway for doing things incorrectly from a technique standpoint, because they have to build tension and make things eye-catching for cinematic purposes. With that said, another fantastic breakdown from Scenic Fights! The cameo from the Great Throwdini was also really cool.
  • Who else expected a ninja looking dude for the knife throwing expert instead we get Larry from accounting lol mad respect though bro

Rewatching the old John Wick breakdowns really show how stiff and formal Chad and Logan used to be. You can tell they’re having way more fun these days. Also, all action movies need to step up their game after these films put everything else to shame.
  • @keanuareeves
One of the most beautiful choreographed fight scene. Not too perfect, the messy throwing knives from the babayaga himself give it a realistic vibe to it. Love it.
  • @jrmorales822
You guys never fail to deliver! Love the chemistry between everyone and the special guest
  • @BenyaminLorit
*Chad wakes up from nightmare* Partner: "What's wrong, baby? Is it another one of those "Let's see that in full speed" ones?"
  • @nickmonadi
Loved hearing from throwdini! Would love to see him again in future knife based stuff
  • @crondog
Honestly adding Pak to the team has been such a boon. As far as John Wick goes, it's obvious everyone involved cares A LOT which isn't something you see that often in blockbusters and it's what makes it so special.
  • @tohuiii
The special guest was the cherry on top of the cake! Loved it!
  • @Freeden
I think this goes to show just how much of an unappreciated art form this is. People who are into action movies and who are trained in these martial arts understand, but largely people don't even consider just how much nuance goes into the choreography and training. Chad and company went a long way to making the John Wick franchise as seamless, tight, and realistic looking as they could for this kind of film. And you can see and feel just how much that effort pays off. That you can go through these fights and talk about how realistic they are and how accurate the martial arts is, even if the general audience doesn't know, is testament to how much work was put into these films and how underappreciated that effort is. John Wick, for me, truly is the greatest action franchise we have going right now.
  • I wish you guys breakdown the Raid redemption Sgt Jaka vs Mad Dog fight scenes. Jaka was more strength/power while mad dog was more on speed and agility. Hopefully you guys breakdown that fight scene
  • @blazcraz6992
The funniest thing I know about this fight is the Director Chad Stahelski explicitly compares this fight scene to a snowball fight. It's what he calls it on the commentary apparently
