No matter what you think of John McCain, he really lived his life based on the values he grew up with. He has flaws, but he was honest about it and accepted his mistakes and was apologetic about it. You may not agree with his policies but this man has principle. Few men are willing to forsake his party for his principle. That makes him one of a kind. Salute to you Sir. Rest in Peace.

As often as I disagreed with his politics and policies you can tell he tries to do what he thinks is right for the country and rarely if ever keeping the focus on himself. He recognized the blessed life he had and he was grateful for it. He is a rare breed in government and he is greatly missed.

  • Been crying since yesterday. We will miss you, Sen. McCain. Such a a gallant public servant.
  • I was at the service with his family at a Baptist Church here in Phoenix, Arizona. Joe Biden and other Democrats all spoke kind words at the service. Rest in peace John S. McCain.
  • What a wonderful man. He served our country. In Viet Nam, in the Senate,, on the campaign trail. We should all thank him for his service, and we should tell the President that he was wrong to say that he wasn’t a war hero. This man was a hero, he was captured and could’ve gotten released but he stayed with his men. I’m saddened that we’ve lost this man, and send sympathy to his family from my family.
  • A man with integrity and with true heart to serve his countrymen. RIP Sen. John McCain--From Philippines!
