STAR CITIZEN - THE LARGEST OF CORVETTES - RSI POLARIS
In this video we re-visit the rsi Polaris in star citizen, being in concept for many years CIG have decided to rework the interior and begin production. This is a great and very popular ship and im sure many people will glad to hear such news. In this video we break down the images and video feeds from CIG in order to gain more information on where the team have decided to take this ship.
Will it be here for pyro? definitley not. But its a promising step in the right direction not only for the Polaris but the Perseus and Galaxy alike.

Proud Polaris owner here. I cant wait to see this released into our hands. After this citizen con news, the hype is just amplified.
  • @Sarruji
They really need a way to load craft into the hangers/bays of our ships through the ASOP terminal or ship loadout menu.

I am so glad you did an updated video on this. I have been rewatching through every single Perseus, Polaris, and Nautilus video I can get my hands on to keep my hopium juices flowing. You are a blessing.

Another excellent presentation Steve! BTW the Captain is generally the CO in ship Naval command structured; number two is the XO or Executive Officer. A ship of this class normally would not require a Flag Officer (Commodore/Admiral) being a Corvette. I own hull # 2XX, I am as excited for Polaris arrival in the verse (with Gameplay of course) Be well and stay safe Citz o7

The polaris is a great concept for an org that wants to really focus on small team tactics and privateering by either selling your services to the much larger orgs as an escort or mercenary to bolster forces in a time of war. This ship also seems to fill the role of a commerce raider extremely well targeting supply lines and just destroying logistics out behind enemy lines. Either way, this ship won't really shine until we have a much larger galaxy filled with internal player driven politics.

Thanks for the videos! I just noticed, small thing I wanted to comment is that on a Ship, the CO (commanding officer) is the Captain. So the CO's quarters would be the Captain's quarters. However, if a higher rank official is aboard, such as an Admiral, then technically the Admiral is the CO at that time (though often Admirals will let Captains operate as usual unless it's a special circumstance). So maybe they meant to say XO's room (executive officer, which is usually the 2nd in command on the ship)?

The line "Running around like an F'ing lunatic!" got me good

Star Citizens RSI Polaris a ship which many have longed for, is now finally entering production and hopefully the not too distant future. This ship is a very popular one and i look foward to following the updates as it progresses down the pipeline. But what do you guys think? as always let me know down below! ATTENTION FYI! - How viable will it be to run a Polaris solo or with AI crew? In a combat scenario, you will absolutely need a crew of some form to stand much of a chance. The main firepower comes from the Torpedo launch room, which has a station for a dedicated weapons officer. You can hire AI crew to man the stations, and bear in mind that they are not free and come with varying levels of skill. LINK - robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/…

Been waiting for my polaris since the original 2015 concept sale. Even got the shirt and its pretty much the only Star citizen merch I have. Definintly bought it for operation trident and Org fleets. Lots of power for minimal crew. Capital killer with a crew requirement of 6. That was a problem I see with a lot of orgs 20 javelins and idrises. 30 people in the org. Litterally more huge capital ships than people in the org. The polaris is a much better option. Power of an idris with crew requirements of a retaliator or connie andromeda. And the biggest non-industry ship you can reliably make money with. Its just a super versatile ship that can be called in the hit a cap ship in a moments notice.
  • Cant wait for this one, will be my new explorerer ship. Ill stick a terrapin in the back for scanning, and doubt ill have to launch it to scan. Will have to see how that works out but im glad i bought this one

Great overview! It’s on warbond today and I think your breakdown has convinced me to pull the trigger! Appreciate the video! One small correction: the commanding officer or commander is second in rank, below only the captain(unless your info is from CIG and their ranks differ from our military ranks)
  • Really loved this walkthrough and really excited for the Polaris to come into the game!
  • There were 2 more seats with consoles and clear display screens in pits in each corner of the bridge so there was 5 unless those 2 don't count.
  • @ShadowGirl-
The area right behind the bridge is the "Muster Deck". 5 seats in the bridge as others have said. Im hoping all the fins means it will actually fly better then other large ships in atmosphere, but we'll see. Great video.
  • @Sarsour_
Awesome ship, cant wait for it!
  • @bluemoondm8629
Loving these videos! I'll add that I'm pretty sure there are two more seats on the bridge that are kind of depressed and further off to the sides in the back for a total of five, the shot moving out the front of the bridge kind of overlaps the two front and rear seats. Keep it up!

Heh, just recently I found my physical Polaris booklet again. As I recall you could add that to your cart for $0 when buying the Polaris at concept and CIG then sent it out to you through the mail. Definitely hoping it will turn out great, and with the size increase plus it now having a full set of capital sized components I wouldn't be surprised if CIG reclassifies it as a Light Frigate. 🙂 Then the Perseus can move into the spot as the Corvette just like how the Hammerhead changed from Gunship to Corvette; because they are similar in size and have the exact same components. Only difference is that the Hammerhead has lots of smaller caliber turrets and large missiles while the Perseus has two large caliber turrets and small torpedoes. It just wouldn't make sense to keep calling this Polaris a Corvette with all these changes as it's effectively a Light Frigate in everything except name now.

Think i will get one to escort my kraken along with a perseus. That way i have capital, large and small ships covered.
