    In addition to the hot lap shown here in Sprint Mode on Corsa tyres, we also drove the Ioniq 5 N two laps in a row in Endurance Mode. How much power the Ioniq 5 N has in Endurance Mode and how quickly it completed both Nordschleife laps can now be read in the ten-page Supertest in sport auto issue 2/2024.

    I've just returned from a stay in Korea, travelling in a wide variety of new cars, and examining many more in detail. I'll never buy a car that doesn't come from Korea in the future. They look amazing, and it's like riding in the future. I've developed a new and massive respect for Korea, and the Korean people. It is literally an incredible place - no matter where you go. And Koreans are very polite, and quiet, and never aggressive or rude.

  • Tesla enthusiasts sarcastically call the Hyundai Ioniq 5N record of 7 minutes and 45 seconds, but what's very impressive about this video is that the brakes don't get tired during one round of the Nurburgring, and that the battery temperature is maintained at 55 to 60 degrees, while maintaining 100% motor output. This is such a ridiculous technology Tesla's Model S Plaid trackpack and Porsche Taycan show that the battery temperature soars like crazy even before it goes around 1 lap of the Nurburgring that the motor output is half-cut, but the brakes stretch out and show the vehicle being pushed back In the first place, the concept of cooling battery heat by regenerative braking was developed first by Hyundai Motor Group, and even Tesla cannot imitate it. It should be acknowledged that it is a technology that cannot be imitated. Mercedes impressed by this - Mercedes and Volkswagen sign E - GMP supply deal with Hyundai Motor Group Volkswagen said it would unveil E-GMP-based high-performance cars in 2026 and Mercedes-Benz would apply them to luxury lines such as EQS.

    this ioniq 5N recordng 7.45,59 in Nordschleife is truly revolutionary. Because this channel have made such record with pure stock car. Just don't listen to manufactural's claims of their car records from since year of 2020. All other manufacturals claiming their car model's records are not comming from stock car. Rather they prepare with test cars that are set tailored to the Nürburgring. Because Nurburgring do not check if time lap recording car is stock car or modified which is fit into Nurburgring. In some of cases shows 30 secs record difference between manufactural's claim and actual driver's record in same car model. And assuming this ioniq 5N is SUV with weigh 2.2 tons, it's 7.45,59 min record in Nordschleife is very extraordinary even if comparing with any other lighter weigh ICE SUVs. Ioniq 5N NPX1 which is upgrade with bodykits (Hyundai says they will sell body kits for ioniq 5N) weigh about 1.8 ton will give even more better records. Anybody here who claims that Honda Civic R and Porsche Taycan are faster, those are manufactural's claims from records came out from test cars wich are set tailored to the Nürburgring. If you want to know true record from those cars, ask to Sport auto to test those with stock car and show it to us.
  • I think Hyundai Ioniq 5 N should go for official 2 lap timing because this seems to be the only EV that could do two laps in sequence on Nordschleife.

    Great! Sport auto said only Hyundai agreed to provide pure stock car while other manufacturers refused. It means Tesla and Honda are not real records. Also this is not even Ioniq6N, it's a family SUV with a lot of entertainment functions and V2L.

    Don't forget, this car still has 5 seats, 800V charging, ton of trunk space, V2L both in & out. Wonder if there is any competitor that comes even close to this IONIQ 5 N, of course including the price tag. Yes, I am heavily biased today, WHAT A time to be alive!     테슬라는 내장제 다들어내고 경량화 최대로 시킨상태 브레이크 튜닝에 하체튜닝의심까지 했었던 랩타임이고 아5엔은 양산차 그대로 테스트한거라 의미가 다르네요.

    We better see that this IONIQ 5 N lap time is based on the near pure version except the tyres, unlike TESLA or TYCAN which are suspected as having been modified during the test run.
