    I just noticed Mat wrote "vinger" on his bottle of vinegar which confused me until i realized that's how it was spelt on the actual "nutrition facts" label. This sauce just gets better and better

    Its actually a common misconception that the F in FDA stands for "food". It was actually placed there to pay respects to all the people who died from pink sauce.

    I'm honestly astounded that she's even allowed to sell this. I remember when we set up a small pop-up concessions booth at a school festival, we had to have a licensed food health and safety officer come inspect our ingredients, food storage, food processing methods, prep surfaces, etc. to get the equivalent of a day pass to sell food to the public. Food safety is serious.

    The fact that Chef Pii made this stuff and DIDN'T do any research on making a food product like this is insane! How is she not getting bombarded with lawsuits!? I feel like a judge would gladly tell her she can't keep the ingredients of the sauce secret and that she needs to take a kindergarten level course on what the FDA is

    As a culinary kid, this lady's product upset me so much, especially learning that she didn't know about the FDA, any personal chef should have their ServSafe, and she would know about the freaking FDA just from getting that certification, let alone the other multitude of certificates she would need. It hurts my little culinary heart to see people try to sell this off as a healthy natural product

    I actually came across a bottle of this on the shelf at Walmart yesterday, it looked even more different than when MatPat made this episode! Looking at the label myself it was as crazy as he said and of course I bought it to make sure I documented the discovery. It now sits on my windowsill and I laugh at it as I walk by.

    Hi Matpat, Dragonfruit contains a natural emulsifier in it called pectin, and the spices listed likely include another natural emulsifier mustard. It doesn't look like you did a proper emulsion in your attempt at making the sauce which likely is why it resulted so watery

    In theory, the binder could be the garlic. Toum is a middle eastern garlic sauce that emulsifies oil with garlic to get a creamy texture. But that doesn't sound anything like this pink sauce. But Toum, dragonfruit, and honey might be a great combo.

    "Who would not like ranch?" Looked it up before, it is basically an unearthly concoction of every single food allergy and intolerance I have.
  • I’m a food product developer and this product just…hurts my soul. If I did what she did I would lose my job. It takes months to finalise a product and for her to just send it out half assed is frustrating to see . Love seeing your detective product developer work!

    Honestly, it’s irresponsible of the “chef” to not disclose that there’s ranch/mayo or both since some people may have an allergy or intolerance…..anyway….great video!
