i was so insanely stressed for those pallbearers while watching this live. i can't imagine both the mental and physical pressure of having to do such a job. hats off to them.

HM’s lead lined coffin weighed over 700lbs but those soldiers managed it like it was light as air. Not one grimace, they kept it level and her crown , scepter and orb didn’t move an inch. That’s devotion. What an honor it must have been to carry HM to her final destination.

There is no other country in the world that could have had a state funeral with such dignity those solders were the epitome of our armed forces discipline and professionalism Thank you

I have walked up those steps to St George's Chapel many many times. They are steep a bit, and for them to carry this lead lined coffin up those steps was a great feat of strength.

I don't think people realize how heavy the coffin ⚰️ is. I had the honor to carry my mothers, not on my shoulders but the regular way we carry them. It was a waste line that I had to help carry her, in my mind I was like please don't drop her, it was so heavy. Can you imagine what these men were feeling, carrying her on top of their shoulders and walking upstairs. Just wow.

I don't think there are too many militaries around the world that can perform a "Present Arms" quite like these guys.
  • These 8 +2 guards did an amazing job both on the way into Westminster Hall on Thursday and then again on Monday into and out of the Abbey and again here at Windsor. They deserve special thanks from the King.
  • Carying the coffin in step up those steps was unbelievable and daunting but the guardsmen were heroic..
