As a black man, I was in Orania a few times many years ago. Tbh I have never experienced anything but warm treatment and good food.
  • @grantevans6597
I loved this conversation between these two young, serious-minded men, who both spoke with enormous conviction and integrity. Two men who come from very different backgrounds, but are united by the quality of their character. It was a privilege to see them looking at each other in the eyes, unashamed, convicted and united through common values. Yes indeed, these two young men are brothers.

As a white Afrikaner, I must thank a black Zulu for breaking the racist stereotype of Oranje. I never knew.
  • @TapiwaMunyanyi
I respect the concept of Orania, this is a place that they built with their own two hands, no handouts, just hard work, dedication and most importantly accountability.
  • How I wish black people will learn to work together and trust each other and not betray each other like they’ve been doing for years.
  • I am speechless with what I have just witnessed here! Joost jy is n man van substance voorwaar, Penuel, umfowethu you simply blew my socks off. I have hope for SA witnessing this level of understanding/tolerance and am exited to experience a brighter future led leadership like you. God Bless.
  • @mondongoczko
Thank you for taking the time to visit Orania. The idea that the bigger the government, the larger the welfare state, the more people depend on bureaucrats instead of their own community, their own faith, their own potential and talents is to keep people down and poor for ever.

"A boy becomes a man the day he realises and accepts that no one is coming to save them. They have to become their own hero". This is what I have come to realise about life,no one is coming to save you.. " 'n boer maak 'n plan" "self doen" to me,is based off of that concept/truth. Dope Konversation majita🙌🏾

I still struggle with the concept of OWN LABOUR. It's the most fascinating aspect of Orania. Most of us cannot truly fathom a life without external labour. Gardeners. Cleaners. Nannies. Uber drivers. Scooter drivers. Builders. Etc. They do labour themselves. Fully by themselves. It's crazy. Whatever they don't know, they learn & then implement themselves.
  • @EnkosiMavume
I enjoyed this interview, for the first we heard their side of the story. We have labelled them racists without hearing their own side. This interview has changed my perspective of Orania and the people living in it
  • The orania model should be followed worldwide. Decentralise power. Know and talk to your leaders everyday. Well done !!
  • @kgt8693
I must admit, i used to hate Orania, the media is very hostile to orania, and they are instilling this hate to most SA pple, over time i realised its not the place they hate, its the idea of independence from government, your show makes it possible to know the other side of the story, there is more to it than what they are sharing, but their ideals can work even for other communities!
  • I must say I have thoroughly enjouyed this friendly open and honest discussion between two loyal and talented young South Africans. True sons of the African soil.
  • Coming from a Christian background, I think this has opened my eyes on how God wanted us to live as humanity. Building with our own hands and not being lazy, not oppressing or taking advantage of anyone's misfortune, building a family, living in peace and love, and many other examples.
  • @KM_Zitha
I wish black people could learn from Orania and start doing it for themselves. Those who are crying racism and apartheid need to get rid of envy and victim mentality. Orania is smaller than all large commercial farms. Great job Pen!
  • @maraisdekker2415
“Our definition of freedom is like a double-edged sword. No one must rule over you. And also to be free you must rule over no one. That’s a part of freedom.”
  • @paulmemela7236
Penuel!!! you are the gold standard bro. This country is fortunate to have you. You should really consider going into politics ....i believe you will have a huge impact in making SA a better place 🔥 🔥 🔥
  • @nozukogacula5448
Im so inspired by this interview, If Africa as a hole could adapt this concept, we would stop being puppets of the US and Europe. If we as black people can adapt this concept in our small communities
