I had some pinstripes, decals, double sided tape, and dealer lettering on my XJ that I wanted off. I found an easy way to remove them all with a $17 tool!

  • When you said screw you man, I don’t want to advertise for you, you spoke to my soul. I feel the same exact way!
  • @357bullfrog2
I think we should get royalties from the dealership for displaying all this free advertising for them. Maybe a free part Now and then

I’m so grateful for YouTube videos like these. Just need to one job one time and the fact you made such a concise walkthrough makes me feel much more confident going into the project. Thanks brother
  • Oh my god! I spent HOURS with a heat gun and got nowhere with my two wide stripes. This was a lifesaver!! Thank You for sharing and showing people how to save loads of time and energy on this meticulous task! ❤
  • Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information. Last weekend we spent 4 hours on a small patch of sun baked tape stuck on the hull of our boat. Just ordered one of these to try next week. Thanks again. Hope you have a wonderful day.
  • I'm going to vouch that this absolutely works. I spent hours trying to get some weird film that was on my toyota echo off. I used a cordless heat gun, goo off, and plastic scrapers. It would have taken hours. The eraser wheel took less than 10 minutes. Wow, this is a really neat trick!

Oh awesome. Thanks for the video. I’ve just took my door trim off my 2007 avalanche and was trying to figure out a way. This helped a lot 👍

Thanks for that. I was really wanting to see it on the tape residue. I have that because the dealer service guys pressure blasted my car and tore the decal. I noticed a week later, so of course it could not have been them... I tried everything to get the adhesive off. Even Mostenbockers failed. Now for an eraser wheel. Follow up to this comment. I had tried everything to get the old adhesive off. Heatgun, cutting wax, Dr Mostenbockers, even a razor blade, nothing shifted it. Bought one of these wheels. Took the adhesive off in 2 minutes. Quick polish and it looks like it was never there.

Cannot believe how well that works! Got some seriously baked on 29 year old vinyl on my classic car that needs replacing - fingers crossed!
  • I like the info, a couple of new variations to me, and, I like the way the video is made. All action, no making me wait while you walk across the shop for whatever. Thanks.
  • You're gonna think I'm crazy, but I was a reset manager for Lowe's for a long time and we used California Scents Citrus air freshener spray to get double sided tape off painted steel beams. The tape would just melt and you clean it right off. Mint👌
  • Very good. Just what I was looking for. Removed the decal and the glue from window outside shade, Thank Doug.

Great video. Thanks for the helpful tips! I appreciate that you can admit when you’re wrong and teach others.
  • @HydroxLoL
I wish I knew about this sooner. We spent hours chipping away at adhesive with different chemicals and plastic scrapers, eventually I ended up just sanding down the top of my doors and re painting it because I got frustrated. Thanks for the tip, I'm grabbing one of those things asap
  • @trevorchan9014
Just the video I was looking for...I’m going to pick one up today. Thanks
  • @jamies8973
I've had that eraser in my wishlist, unwilling to pull the trigger and get it. You convinced me. I also, don't like giving away free advertisements for the dealer.
  • Super useful video; no fuss, no muss, but well done and enjoyable. Thanks!
  • @Richard.Hybels
I was in the taxi cab biz for 30 years and damn I wish I'd known about this. Spent a lot of time removing numbers etc off cabs and adhesive.
  • @garylemon7996
This wheel works amazing! I ran it at a low RPM with my drill and YES the Cherokee looks better with out that plastic junk! I used the name brand Wonder Wheel though but same concept
  • Thanks so much! This is exactly the instruction I was looking for today. My jeep has the stupid air spoilers on the windows and dying to try this.
