Its a horrible thing that these eye Doctors do not mention this to you, they just increase your prescription. I had no idea about exercising eye muscles, the thought never crossed my mind.

This is so on point. I’m farsighted and wear contacts to drive. However, I’ve always removed them once home b/c I cannot see up close with them on, and watching tv would give me a headache. So I concluded wearing glasses or contacts 24/7 cannot be good for eye muscles-they’d weaken-just like other body parts-atrophy! I always believed removing contacts helped my eye muscles-and it has! My eye doc wanted to give me reading glasses!!! Docs just pile on like with meds. Now, years later, he can’t believe my vision didn’t get worse years ago since most people just keep adding visual aids instead of working eye muscles and their vision continues to worsen over time. Eye docs are conditioned to maintain a problem. They’re in a business! Like a med doc that ignores nutrition, docs don’t cure-there’s no money in that. Imho.

That’s a great tip for helping with astigmatism. I just tried it and I noticed that my eyes were getting that stinging sensation and tearing up because I was noticing movement in my peripheral as I was rotating my head. I’ve been getting a lot of stinging and tearing up lately due to noticing movement of objects when going for walks. Sometimes it happens without me even really doing anything or thinking about it, so maybe it’s becoming a mental habit. I have high myopia (around -6), and a small amount of astigmatism, so I’ll continue to do this head-rotating to hopefully improve both my myopia and astigmatism. Thanks for this tip and all the others you’ve given!
  • That circle exercise! I can actually feel my eye muscles, wow! I was reading with my glasses on since 3rd grade, years of damage to undo but this is awesome
  • Very good video on a tricky subject Mark. The functional aspect of astigmatism is not well known at all. But the eyeball is a soft sack full of liquid so the tiniest additional muscle pull can distort the shape. The other aspect is that of lens-induced astigmatism from wearing minus lenses. The eyeball will lengthen over time and distort in shape due to the glasses forcing you to ignore the periphery
  • I spend hours in front of my computer and your explanation makes so much sense! I’m glad to have found your channel!

You opened my mind, I can't see very well with my left eye and I just learned I probably have high astigmatism and by the years it got worse and my posture is totally wrong! I tend to do the same thing you mentioned with the violin 24/7 and no one ever told me this must be the case my astigmatism got this bad by 3 years, I also read a lot because of my studies and this bad posture and constant eye movement stressed my eye so much. Thanks for changing my life, from now on Imma change my posture and my habits for better and hope to start seeing things clearer

This was so helpful I've just never understood my astigmatism, I can't tell you how much this helps, you explain it easily 🙏 now I can try these tips, mine stacks up and down. Thank you
  • Hi Mark. Could you make your upcoming webinar free of charge so that more people would be able to improve their eyesight (especially those who really want to join but cannot afford)?

This makes total sense. I have severe scoliosis, and high astigmatism (-3.25, 3.00) My head is tilted since I was born.
  • Mentally building an uniform peripheral image by turning off central vision, adding a little movement. A combination between your first restoration video and your second one in the other channel

Wow. Thanks for the exercise. My eyes felt the tension immediately even doing it very slowly so I had to stop and try it again later and do it for shorter periods so it is at least cumulative.
  • @otiebrown9999
Cylinder almost never needs to be corrected. That is an OD MYTH.
  • @amarg1650

Hi, I'm a programmer and I had some eyes issues for about 2 years where I get tired and uncomfortable in front of the screens after a while. To mention that I wear glasses permanently. After applying those 3 tips from the video, the raising of the monitors to eye level, rotate whole head in the direction of focus rather that just the eyes, and having a straight back, I noticed a slight but immediate relief to the discomfort of the eyes, so thank you for that. What other tips could you give for people like me that stare into screens all day and night for a living ?
  • Hello sir My daughter is 7 years old and she recently got diagnosed with astigmatism of -2.5…it can be completely recovered or not?
  • @tajemnica007
The reversal of vision defects in myopia seems to be easier than in astigmatism. Am I right? I have 2.25 astigmatism in both eyes, is there even a slim chance of completely reversing astigmatism through exercises and relaxation?
