I use to be also a professional soccer player in Mexico, as goalkeeper we can have certain similitude in our sports cuz we both need to usea all the body, hands, arms, core, legs, technique, explosiveness, etc... I've discovered the best off season routine that fix with me and my body recovery... 1-2 weeks focus on strength, 1-2 weeks focus on speed and resistance. Monday: Cardio and some explosiveness with coordination drills or recovery cardio depending of the how charge i feel Tuesday : lower body combined with technical drills for my feet game Wednesday: Uper body combined with my hands game We start decreasing volume Thursday: technical drills Friday: Lower body with coordination speed exercises Saturday: upper body with technical exercises Sunday: off
